John
Mukavitz, MCSE, MCSA, MCP, A+ Certified Technician, Network+,
M.A., is CEO of RenoTechnology.com and is the Senior Network
Administrator/Engineer for many companies around the Reno,
NV area. John startd his career as Desktop Publisher in
1987 with the "Big Snow Country Magazine." This publication
quickly evolved into an online E-magazine which enjoyed
over 250,000 hits per month. the online revolution prompted
John to invest in his own server farm as a way to load
balance all the requests for the website. The server admin
in John came out and he became a certified systems administrator,
MCSA and later a certified systems engineer, MCSE. These
skills along with the broad understanding of running a
business has helped John become a leader in the IT support
field in the Reno area.
John's
formal education includes a Master's Degree which he used
to start teaching Computer Science and Business/Marketing
as a professor at the University of Nevada, Reno. He also
worked as an adjunct professor at Truckee Meadows Community
College and Sierra Nevada College teaching technology
and computers at each. John has written one book and many
papers and technical articles and currently lives in Reno,
NV.
John has claimed the Best of the Web and Creative
Internet Business Award during 1997-98.
His
programming experience includes VBScript, PERL, COLDFUSION,
ASP, ASP.NET, and of course HTML. He has worked on Macs,
Sun Workstations, just about every flavor of Linux and
Unix, but finds Windows to be the OS of choice. On any
given day you can walk into John's office and find him
surrounded by 22 in Flat panel monitors running lines
of code reminiscent of the movie Matrix. With
over 20 years of teaching experience in one form or another,
John leads our development staff to seek out and master
new technology.
Currently
RenoTechnology takes care of over 50 businesses in the
Reno area. From multi-site businesses with VPN connections
to the simplest 1 person home office. "We have a
good staff and we are always hiring more techs who can
quickly fix any computer emergency," said John. My
goal is to continue building the skillset of my employees-
this will ensure that my clients will receive fast professional
service each and every time."
